WORLD djs MUSIC CHALLENGE 2010: SUBMIT YOUR OWN CLUB MIX & APPEAR ON NEW CHARITY ALBUM

Liverpool Cake decorating dj musician David Cakes shares the dream of helping to raise £1M with the help of other djs, musicians and creative talent from Liverpool, the UK and around the world. David Cakes buddy Claire Lomax shares her story after battling with cancer and she performs a ‘Hippy Chick’ version and ‘The Movie’ version of Forever Free composed by David Cakes. Liverpool guitarist Tony Rubio accompanied Claire’s vocals, with David Cakes on Tambourine. David Cakes co-produced this acoustic version of ‘ Forever Free’ with Billy Kinsley (Liverpool Express / The Merseybeats. When Dave & Claire met in 2001, he felt that Claires strong & emotional voice was perfect for this version of the ‘Forever Free’ that he originally wrote in 1999….. In 2002 BBC Radio Merseysides Roger Phillips interviewed Claire & David Cakes about Forever Free shortly after Davids Dad Roy had sadly passed away after a long battle with Melanoma skin cancer. In 2008, Claire herself was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma Cancer and she fought her own long battle against her illness, and she became an inspiration to us all. Claire is now in remission and together with David Cakes is determined to keep raising funds for We are Macmillan Cancer Support by promoting The Forever Free Project An opportunity that will give ALL musicians and singers anywhere on the planet the chance to showcase their talents as well as helping Charity at the same time.
