Serato Scratch Live is a digital DJ solution that is made up of the Serato Scratch Live software, Serato Control and hardware manufactured by Rane.
Serato Scratch Live has made life, for the professional traveling DJ, a lot easier on the arms! Heavy crates of vinyl records can be magically transformed into an enormous library of music that can easily be carried on a laptop or other hard drive.
It is the only PCDJ product that remains loyal to the DJ art form. There are no flashy design effects or auto synch facilities which results in the DJ controlling the mix, as opposed to his laptop controlling the mix.
Serato Control Products.
Included in the Serato Scratch Live package are the Serato Vinyl and CDs. These accessories allow your audio files to be beat mixed and scratched direct from your hard drive. The various approved USB controllers (listed below) also aide the DJ to do this.
The Serato Control Vinyl and CDs both contain a unique control signal. This is to assist Scratch Live in tracking the record’s motion, simulating the movement of the record exactly with the digital audio file.
This is the only PCDJ product which lets the DJ really feel as if he were scratching and beat mixing vinyl.
A list of approved and certified USB controllers is included below. These are completely compatible with the Serato Scratch Live. The USB controller’s display screens are sent the track information from the software. These Scratch Serato USB controllers can be installed with a minimum of fuss.
