but i guess hes just sying its optional but people keep in mind amps r not manditory it llows more sound to get u a biiger sound when u r having a party with lots of ppl
Damn if I think back now … before 5 months or sth like that I didnt have no sort of clue on Djing. This vid was really a help to sort out which plugs I need and which not. Thanks
Yes, as long as your mixer has RCA (unbalanced) outputs. If your mixer only has balanced output you’ll need something like an XLR to RCA adapter, which should be fairly easy to find.
With analog audio interconnects there’s an adapter for everything, so if you can think it up, you can connect it!
i have a question. say if we have a stereo and it has an RCA AUX input (to plug in mp3 players etc.) could i just plug the output from my mixer into that via RCA cables? and use it as an amplifier?
ur videos r alway a big help to me because i have friends that dj but they dont never want to help or teach but i learned a lot from ur vid and it so much fun to learn thanx
You’re in the United kingdom, kyebrad, Here in the U.S., particularly here in New YORK, there are loads of vinyl stores. Want a list of the names and web sites?
hello
jus bought a pair of cd decks, thought not to bother buying a package because ive had vinyl turntables before and i thought i had all the right equiptment eniway. but do i? the cables with the earth wire on them will they also work with cdj’s?
Tell you what, get a mailing address to me, like a P.O. Box number and some time this summer I’ll pick you up a couple nice jointz to rock over there. Ever heard of AV8 Records or Clubbangaz? If not, they’re pre-mixed party jointz like “Put ya Hands in the air” type of party chants throughout with various beats. Over here anything with Fatman Scoop or DJ Kool or Lil’Jon on it screaming something out to the crowd are sure patry rockers all the time. But you gonna need a copy of “It Takes 2″
Thanks a lot, I’m not really in misr (egypt) I’m actually in Tunisia but I use proxy so I can connect to youtube (long story), besides I can’t buy anything over the internet or the phone since our currency isn’t accepted by the US but the stuff getting many versions of the same song (which makes its remixing easier) interests me. Maybe I’ll tell one of my friends living there to get them for me.

Let’s start you off with Rock & Soul in New York, I see you’re in Misr so here’s there phone number: area code (212) 695-3953 ask for Mike or Ruben. Look them up on line, but for some reason they don’t keep a listing of their vinyl on line. All the ol skool hip hop, new R&B, etc. Buy the singles. That way they’re only $5.96 each or so, where you get the clean version of the song, dirty version, instrumental and acapella so you can do your own remixes with other beats. Send more soon.

I hear you and understand what you mean. However, no. There’s a great difference between the two. CDs are digital, vinyl are analong. I know where you could buy all the latest and even brand new copies of old songs on vinyl. Interested? Then I’ll send you the info.
I agree with you, but there’s places like my country where vinyls are wayyy tooo expensive so I had to buy cdjs until I can afford one of ‘em.
But cdjs are fine, it’s just the feeling of touching the record directly that differs.
