Why this recording is unique:
THIS IS A VIDEO of an actual event: the playing of this fab disc.
Original analog 1st DJ Pressing…..for non-record ppl; The physical transfer from mother master to this disc was made in the very earliest stages of manufacturing. Over time, gradual degradation of materials & processes occurrs…helped lead to the desire for the original pressings. … Therefore, to a certain degree notable to audiophiles/mediaphiles/ trainspotters etc…, an audible difference is there.
The audio here is direct to camera from an unusual & distinctive near/mid-field monitor arrangement. Equipment including Tannoy, Custom, Adcom, Sony, Pioneer, Telefunken, Focusrite, Alesis, Klipsch, Presounus Samsung, Mogami, consider the settings, room acoustics… etc…..Analog disc to digital passed through a Vintage Tube Pre & a unique amplification setting.
Now, The audio here is basically a unique stereo recording of the actual listening experience in real time….that I personally own…..through the unique gathering of electronics & connectivity relatively. So, there are many unique aspects to each & every video…. I have a High-Quality 24Bit/96KHZ Audio Recording that sounds superior in bit/word length & dynamics…. The video looks great on a quality monitor …The video is here so I can play my records anywhere , anytime… and to boost support for artists…..hope it works this time.;..
The recording… gets tricky… basically there are two recordings. The one here is direct “through the air” to camera in 2 channel stereo/HD video. … I’m uncertain what the final “quasi-measurable” quality would be rated….sounds pretty good though…
the recording here actually has a “touch” of “natural”, “room” or…a tight bit of reverb in it. Which actually boost’s certain frequencies through the process….adding to it’s uniqueness. …and sounds “different” from what I normally hear….. at the same time it is a close surrealistic, multi-applicable emulation of the event in that room. ….
Anyway… now the other audio recording is direct from the needle to the groove & out from my sweet mixer…through another pre-amp & into an outboard recording device…. so the 2nd recording is direct to a separate source rather than “through the air” to the camera. The other recording is the 24/96… which unfortunately …The Utubegovernment blocks many attempts to load vids….. ..”enter disgruntled statements/arguements here”. Although all recordings.. will ultimately be compressed .. a difference is audible. at least we have a little freedom! …. maybe I dug into YT too late and the freedom to “BROADCAST YOURSELF” has been mistaken …
and in the mean-time….maybe one of these days I can slap it in a mix….. or find a higher quality vid site…
